The situation
Decades of growth by acquisition had left a federated IT estate. The CIO wanted an honest answer: was the organisation fit to support the group’s ambitions, and what would it take to become a genuinely global digital function?
What we did together
A small specialist team reviewed IT strategy, operating model, architecture and digital plans alongside the client’s own people, producing a refined Digital Enabler Strategy: data-centre consolidation, application rationalisation, a revised global IT operating model, and a transformation office to steer delivery. We were then asked to help implement it.
“They told us what to stop as clearly as what to start.”

What’s different now
A multi-year programme followed: data-centre consolidation, agile working, integrated service delivery and global ways of working. Savings identified in excess of £10m a year.
